DCCF offers TWO SEPARATE courses. We offer both a 10 week Entry Level Dental Assisting course and a three day Expanded Duties and Radiology certification course. Students who complete the certification course earn their Expanded Duties Dental Auxiliary and Dental Radiology certifications.

The 10 week course is held twice a year on 10 consecutive Saturdays from 9:00am- 5:00pm, generally in September and January. Immediately following each 10 week course, the certification course is offered.

The certification course is held on a Friday, Saturday and the following Saturday from 9:00am- 5:00pm. We will break for lunch on all days.

Please note students must complete extern hours prior to graduation of both courses.

For the 10 week course students need a high school diploma or GED. Students must be at least 18 years of age. Students that complete the 10 week course are automatically eligible for the certification course.

For those students not taking our introductory course and wishing to test at our facility, employment with a Florida Licensed Dentist for a minimum of 6 months is required.

The tuition for the 10 week course is $2595.

The tuition for the certification course is $400 for students taking the 10 week course, and $500 for those taking the three day course only. The tuitions cover all materials, texts and supplies.

We offer several convenient payment options and also accept funds from the Florida Pre-Paid College program.

To start, you can expect to make at least $12 an hour or $25,000 a year, which would work out to a 900% return on your tuition investment. As you gain experience in your position, you can expect to make $18-20 an hour.

We do offer assistance in placing our students as opportunities become available. Area dentists often contact our school when looking for assistants. We then forward this information to our students. As part of our training program, we give our students assistance with resumes and instruction in interview techniques.

DCCF does not guarantee employment.

The 10 week course is licensed by the state of Florida through the Commission for Independent Education in Tallahassee, license #3377.

The certification course is an approved course by The Florida Board of Dentistry.

We highly recommend scheduling an appointment with an advisor to see the facility and discuss the programs offered in detail. If you wish to schedule, please leave your information on our “Contact us” page, and someone will contact you.

A copy of your driver’s license, a copy of your high school diploma/ GED/AA or AS, and the completed application from our website will be needed to register. DCCF does not charge an application fee.
